About this course

The course examines wine production in Argentina and Chile, considering how geography and climate shape regional styles. Argentina’s high-altitude vineyards and developing range beyond Malbec are set alongside Chile’s expanding reputation for white and red wines. It also introduces grape varieties including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Torrontés and País, with attention to the historical significance of ancient Criolla grapes.
