About this course
The course surveys wine production across major regions in Europe, the Americas, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, covering grape varieties, wine styles and regional comparisons. Guided tastings of around 50 wines introduce methods for assessing sweetness, acidity, tannin and alcohol, while examining similarities and differences between bottles. Additional topics include food pairing, where to buy wine, storage and serving, common wine faults and current trends. Sessions also provide opportunities to discuss wines and exchange recommendations with other attendees.
