About this course

This tasting examines contemporary wines from Germany, Austria and Hungary through six selected examples. It covers Germany’s Riesling alongside Grauburgunder, Weissburgunder, Sauvignon Blanc and Spätburgunder, then considers Austria’s Grüner Veltliner and Hungary’s Blaufränkisch. The wines provide a basis for comparing the countries’ white and red wine styles, including Germany’s growing reputation for refined reds and vibrant whites.
