Participants taste six wines from across Italy, travelling from Piedmont to Puglia and considering the characteristics of different regions. The selection includes examples made from recognised varieties such as Nebbiolo and Sangiovese, alongside a mix of white and red wines. The course examines how the wines are produced and who makes them, while also considering ways to identify good-value bottles. Food pairing suggestions connect each wine with Italy’s varied culinary traditions.
