About this course
The session examines how winemakers in Spain and Portugal combine traditional methods with newer viticultural and winemaking practices. Participants taste six wines while exploring established styles such as Rioja alongside lesser-known regions and indigenous grape varieties. The tasting covers Tempranillo and Garnacha from Spain, as well as Albariño from Galicia, placing these wines within the wider development of Iberian wine. It also introduces producers and regions whose distinctive styles are gaining recognition.
