The course surveys wine production across the USA, beginning with California and extending to Oregon, Washington and New York. It also considers Canadian wines from British Columbia, Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula and Newfoundland. Alongside regional examples, the content covers old-vine wines, less commonly encountered grape varieties and Canada’s reputation for ice wine, while introducing its wider range of quality producers.
