About this course
The course examines wine production in the USA and South Africa, including California’s dominance in US production, Napa Cabernet Sauvignon and the Judgement of Paris. It also considers South Africa’s transition from cooperative-led production to a more diverse industry, with attention to Bordeaux-style blends, Pinotage and Chenin Blanc. Participants taste at least six wines from the two regions, supported by full tasting notes and a tasting sheet. The selection is sourced locally, allowing participants to look for the wines after the course.

Before you go
- At least six locally sourced wines are included, along with full tasting notes and a tasting sheet.
- Professional tasting glasses are provided for use during the tasting.
- A selection of cheese, charcuterie and crackers is served.
