About this course
The course introduces writing for children aged five to 15, using examples from published works to examine contemporary children’s writing and age-appropriate style. Learners develop story ideas through independent writing, group discussion and feedback, with tutor input supporting work on plotting, planning, characterisation, description and dialogue.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for beginners and does not require prior knowledge or experience. Participation combines independent writing with group discussion and feedback, so learners will be asked to develop and share writing within the class.
