About this course
This introductory qualification examines how sake is produced, the main types and styles, serving methods and the factors that influence flavour and aroma. Participants taste at least seven sakes and use the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting to assess them through sight, smell and taste. The course is taught in a classroom format and includes an examination assessing knowledge of the course topics.

- The examination consists of 30 multiple-choice questions, with 45 minutes allowed and a 70% pass mark.
