About this course

This introductory course examines the main characteristics of wine, including styles, grape varieties and selected named wines. Participants taste and describe wines using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting, with at least nine wines included. Teaching also covers wine storage and service, common faults, food and wine matching, and responsible drinking. The course concludes with a 30-question multiple-choice examination, requiring a mark of 70% to pass.
