About this course

The course introduces the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting® alongside the main characteristics of key grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. Participants compare nine wines to explore differences in style and taste, and take part in a practical food-and-wine pairing exercise. Teaching takes place in a classroom setting and also covers wine storage, service and common faults. Assessment is through a 30-question multiple-choice paper, with a WSET digital certificate awarded to successful candidates.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for complete beginners and learners with little or no previous experience of wine or wine tasting. Participation includes structured tasting, comparison of wines and a practical pairing exercise, followed by a multiple-choice examination.
