About this course

The course introduces the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting® and uses nine wines to compare different types and styles. Topics include the characteristics of major grape varieties, the factors that influence flavour, food and wine matching, wine storage and service, and recognising common wine faults. Teaching combines classroom learning with guided tasting and a practical food and wine pairing exercise. Assessment is through a 30-question multiple-choice paper, with successful students receiving a WSET digital certificate.
