About this course
Participants examine how vineyard and winemaking decisions affect the style, quality and price of wine, with coverage of light, sparkling and fortified wines from major producing regions. The course also addresses food and wine matching and the interpretation of wine labels. Classroom learning includes structured tasting, using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting to describe and analyse wines. Online video lessons, quizzes, mock exams, flashcards, maps and diagrams provide additional opportunities for revision alongside the taught sessions.
