About this course

The course develops spoken Chinese through conversation practice on travel plans, work schedules, describing people and recounting personal experiences in sequence. Lessons also include Pinyin work aimed at more natural pronunciation and tone use, alongside the introduction of 25 single-component Hanzi and their use in forming characters and words. Grammar coverage includes the continuous aspect with 着, comparisons using 比 and 没有, modal verbs such as 要、会 and 能, and uses of the particle 了. Review and practice sessions are included during the course.
