About this course

The course develops spoken Chinese through conversations about personality, homes, technology and language learning, with practice activities, review and presentations. Lessons continue to use Pinyin while introducing around 50 Hanzi and methods for memorising them. Grammar work covers degree complements, adjective and verb reduplication, direction and location, number expressions, frequency and degree adverbs, and the tone adverb 就. Topics include introductions, welcoming visitors, takeaway food and comparing abilities.
