About this course

The course develops spoken Chinese through guided conversations about personal characteristics, homes, technology and approaches to language learning. Lessons combine conversational practice, revision, presentations and work with Pinyin, while introducing 50 Hanzi and memorisation techniques. Grammar work covers degree complements, adjective and verb reduplication, direction and location, number expressions, frequency and degree adverbs, and the tone adverb 就. The course also includes practice with common comparisons and everyday conversational exchanges.
