About this course

The course consolidates Chinese reading and communication skills without introducing new Hanzi. Participants work with short texts without Pinyin, strengthening recognition and comprehension of previously studied characters. Conversation practice uses real-life stories: learners watch a story told by a native speaker, then use it as a model for telling their own stories. Grammar work includes reviewing result and directional verb complements, introducing possibility complements, and practising rhetorical questions and flexible uses of interrogative pronouns.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for learners at an intermediate level who have substantial prior Chinese study. The source specifies knowledge of at least 800 words and ideally previous study of the Hanzi covered in earlier courses, including the ability to read more than 200 Hanzi without Pinyin.
