About this course

The course expands Chinese vocabulary through topics including love, friendship, work, earning money and shopping, while using more abstract or detailed questions than basic conversation. Learners listen to native speakers responding to topic-related questions in video recordings, including unfiltered language, and then practise giving their own answers and recounting experiences. Speaking work focuses on expressing ideas in an organised way and using topic-specific vocabulary, alongside continued practice with everyday conversational Chinese.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for Upper-Intermediate (B2) learners who have completed Level 3 or can demonstrate comparable Chinese ability. This includes natural pronunciation, conversational fluency, a substantial vocabulary and familiarity with key grammatical structures. Learners are advised to choose a class broadly aligned with their classmates’ level.
