About this course

Participants take an abridged Shakespeare play from textual analysis through rehearsal towards an informal sharing. The course examines Shakespearean language, verse, rhythm and heightened speech, while applying voice, movement and acting techniques in practice. Work takes place through an ensemble rehearsal process, with participants collaborating on the development of a classical play and exploring how it can move from page to stage.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for experienced performers and actors refreshing their craft through practice. Its Advanced level suggests work beyond fundamental techniques. Participants need either three professional acting credits or equivalent training of at least one year, and should be confident presenting material to other participants.
