About this course
The course introduces or develops pottery techniques across hand building, wheel throwing, surface decoration and glazing. Each week centres on a different technique, alongside time to practise and experiment with clay. Learners can work at their own pace in a focused class environment, using the studio’s tools, slips, moulds and glazes while developing their making through guided weekly sessions.

The course is labelled all levels and is suitable for makers with prior pottery experience, including basic hand building and wheel throwing. Its self-directed pace allows learners to spend more time practising techniques or developing their skills.

Before you go
- All course materials are provided, including buff stoneware clay, tools, slips, moulds and studio glazes.
- Bring clothes that can get dirty. An apron may also be brought.
- Learners can miss one or two sessions and be caught up by the teacher, but missed classes cannot be made up at another time.
