Fundamentals of Classical Acting

About this course

The course introduces core elements of classical actor training through practical exploration of voice, movement and acting technique. Participants work on scenes and monologues from Shakespeare, developing rehearsal methods informed by Stanislavski, Hagen and Meisner. Teaching takes place in a collaborative studio setting, with attention to characterisation, structure and rhythm in classical texts. The course also includes work on classical monologues and approaches to preparing them for performance.
