About this course
The course develops Greek language for situations involving health and wellbeing, including describing symptoms, visiting a doctor, discussing medical examinations and referring to doctors’ specialties. It also covers birthday, nameday, Christmas and Easter wishes, alongside customs associated with traditional feasts. Grammar work includes the simple imperative, imperatives with personal pronouns, negative orders, adjective endings, genitive forms and uses, and conditional and temporal phrases. The course is intended to extend study beyond an earlier Greek course.
What you'll learn
- Use the simple imperative, including forms with personal pronouns and negative orders.
- Apply the genitive of nouns in singular and plural forms.
- Construct conditional and temporal phrases.
- Describe symptoms, feelings when unwell, medicines, health centres and medical examinations.
- Express wishes for different celebrations and describe customs linked to traditional feasts.

This course is intended for learners who have already studied Greek Level 10 or completed a Greek course of at least 120 class hours. The Pre-intermediate (A2+) label indicates study beyond the earliest stage of the language, with lessons extending existing knowledge.
- Previous Greek study is required.
- The stated progression route is Greek Level 10 or an equivalent course of at least 120 class hours.
