About this course
Participants make a Halloween-themed tea light holder, choosing from ideas such as a cauldron, pumpkin or ghost. The session begins with an introduction to the studio, clay and materials before covering pinch-building, a handbuilding technique that shapes clay by pressing and forming it with the fingers. The workshop also introduces decorating with slip and underglazes, allowing participants to develop the appearance of their piece through colour and surface treatment.

The workshop is listed as suitable for all levels and is intended for anyone wanting to learn the basics of handbuilding. It is open to participants aged six and over. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian, who must also have a ticket to take part.
