About this course

The course develops techniques for acting in film and television, with particular attention to truthful, nuanced performances and staying present across multiple takes. Classes use principles of the Meisner technique alongside detailed, collaborative script preparation. Participants work on practical approaches to performing for the camera, supported by voice and movement exercises. The course also considers collaboration on set and how these methods can be applied during screen work.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for actors with some experience of screen acting, or experienced theatre performers seeking screen experience. Its intermediate label indicates work beyond fundamental acting techniques. Entry is through selection by application, with applicants needing either professional credits, equivalent acting training, or prior completion of RADA’s Acting for Camera course.
