Intermediate Meisner

An intermediate acting course exploring Meisner technique through repetition, improvisation, voice, movement and scene study.
About this course
The course examines Meisner’s approach to responding truthfully to stimuli, with repetition exercises used to develop observation and active listening. Participants apply the technique to scene work, exploring how to connect within performance and use imagination to inform emotional responses rather than relying on personal experience. Teaching includes improvisation, voice, movement and scene study, alongside attention to rehearsal technique and professional practice. The work involves a degree of emotional openness and encourages actors to engage directly with the exercises and scene material.
