About this course

The course develops Korean communication around familiar situations, including discussing favourite foods, hobbies, shopping plans and experiences, outfits, directions and transport. Learners also work with basic adjectives and suggestions. Grammar coverage includes 못, 도, -(으)ㄹ 거예요, formal verb endings and questions, the particle -(으)로, and -아요/어요 requests. Lessons combine topic-based speaking, revision of earlier units and presentations, with the content arranged to build from everyday subjects towards movement and giving directions.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners who already know at least 200 Korean vocabulary items and can respond to basic questions about everyday subjects such as hobbies, food and weather. The Beginner (A1) label places it within the early stage of Korean study, but the stated starting knowledge means it is not aimed at complete beginners.
