About this course
Participants work on a range of speeches and texts, developing approaches to selection, memorisation, direction and making instinctive choices from the material. The course draws on techniques associated with Stanislavski, Hagen and Meisner, with voice and movement supporting the monologue process. Learners prepare individual monologues and examine different ways to create the world of a play when working alone. Sessions conclude with participants sharing their prepared material for group workshopping.

- Select and prepare monologues for auditions and self-tapes
- Apply memorisation techniques to speeches and texts
