About this course

Participants examine the process of taking a script into rehearsal, developing a reliable working practice through text and character work. The course includes strategies for secure sight-reading and line-learning, alongside voice, movement and scene work. Teaching is practice-led, with actors applying these approaches while working with material and other participants. The emphasis is on refreshing rehearsal technique and integrating different aspects of professional acting practice.

The course is intended for experienced performers who want to refresh their acting practice and are comfortable presenting material to other participants. Entry is by application and requires either three professional acting credits or at least one year of equivalent acting training. Participants must be over 18 and fluent and confident in English.
