About this course
Participants analyse selected scenes from a range of texts, then apply rehearsal techniques to prepare and workshop them in class. The course combines collaborative script study with practical scene rehearsal and sharing. Its approach draws on techniques associated with Stanislavski and later practitioners including Uta Hagen and Sanford Meisner, with attention to developing a considered rehearsal practice and working with nuance and specificity.

The course is designed for complete beginners, people new to studying scenes from an actor’s perspective and those considering drama school. Participants work collaboratively on scene preparation and sharing. Attendance is limited to people aged over 18 who have fluent, confident use and knowledge of English.
