About this course

Participants work collaboratively on scenes from a range of Shakespeare plays, combining textual analysis with responsive scene work. The course examines character, story and verse while developing a sustained rehearsal practice for exploring the choices within classical texts. Sessions focus on changes in thought, tactics and emotional energy, alongside the construction of complex characters from the text. The advanced level is intended for experienced actors refining their classical technique, including those preparing for auditions or productions.
