Spoken English for Actors: in-person

About this course

Participants work in groups with mixed acting experience and explore a range of plays through rehearsal techniques informed by Stanislavski and later practitioners. The course examines how English-language texts work, including nuance, idiom, vernacular and syntax, alongside monologues and scene study. Voice work covers phonetics and pronunciation, with attention to differences between British and American English. The course is practical, with reading and preparation required between classes.
