About this course

The course examines Stanislavski’s practical rehearsal methods, with particular attention to how physical action can contribute to character creation and connection. Participants work collaboratively on scenes, applying the approach to text and character while investigating changes within a scene. Teaching combines scene study with voice and movement work in a rehearsal-room setting. The course focuses on connecting physical and psychological aspects of acting and incorporating this process into rehearsal practice.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for experienced performers who are comfortable presenting material to other participants. Selection is by application, requiring either three professional acting credits or at least one year of acting training. Participants must be over 18 and have fluent, confident English.
