About this course

Participants examine classical storytelling alongside modern practitioners, using analysis to explore how stories can be shaped and communicated. Practical work covers voice, movement, physicality, characterisation and dramatic technique. The course also explores individual expression through a range of storytelling styles. Participants experiment with text, vocal and physical practice, dramaturgy and improvisation, and develop pieces for performance-oriented storytelling.

The course is intended for actors, directors and writers who want to devise material, as well as people exploring individual expression or practical dramaturgy and improvisation. It is open to all levels, with no selection process. Participants must be over 18 and have fluent, confident English.
