About this course

Participants work with other actors on new scenes from a range of texts, applying Stanislavski and Meisner-based practices to explore material and make clear creative choices. Sessions include focused scene work for theatre, film and television, with opportunities to take direction both on and off camera. The course also addresses professional audition practice, including self-tapes, rehearsal technique and responding quickly to unfamiliar material. Prepared scenes are shared and workshopped during each class.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for advanced actors seeking intensive scene study and professional practice, including working actors between jobs and actors returning from a career break. Participation involves collaborative work with fellow actors and sharing prepared scenes. Selection is by application, with applicants required to demonstrate either three professional acting credits or at least one year of acting training.
