156 general singing classes in London

If you are completely new to singing, start with a beginner singing class, vocal taster, group singing course or introduction to singing. Look for classes that clearly say no experience is needed. A good first singing class should help you understand breathing, pitch, rhythm, vocal warm-ups and basic confidence in a supportive setting.

Choose group singing if you want a lower-cost, social and less intense way to start. Group classes can help you build confidence without feeling like all the attention is on you. Choose one-to-one singing lessons if you want personalised feedback, faster technical correction or help with a specific voice goal. For many beginners, a group class is the gentler first step.

Look for a singing taster, one-off vocal workshop or beginner-friendly group class. These are usually better than a long course if you want to try singing without committing to several weeks. Choose a class that is clearly labelled for beginners or people with no previous singing experience.

No. Beginner singing classes are usually designed for people who want to learn, not people who already feel confident. You do not need a trained voice before starting. A good beginner class should help you explore your voice, practise simple exercises and build confidence gradually.

General singing classes usually cover voice basics such as breathing, pitch, tone, rhythm and confidence. Vocal technique classes focus more closely on how the voice works and how to sing safely. Musical theatre singing classes combine singing with performance, character and storytelling. If you are new, a general beginner singing class is usually the simplest place to start.
